The soothing sounds of the harp played by our Therapeutic Musician provide a positive environment for healing. Therapeutic music can help to ease physical symptoms such as pain, restlessness, agitation, sleeplessness, labored breathing and irregular heart rhythms. It creates an atmosphere of serenity and peace that can be profoundly soothing during a patient's stay at the hospital.
A Therapeutic Musician assesses the patient's situation in order to contribute to emotional, mental, physical and spiritual healing, including well-being, empowerment and relaxation. The intentionally chosen music can relieve feelings of anger, fear, and sadness and support patients and families alike in the grieving process.
