The Providence Alaska Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting the mission of Providence Health & Services Alaska.  Our board members partner with the Foundation and our community to continue the essential work of the Sisters of Providence: advancing health care excellence and access for all Alaskans.

 

Robert Shake
Robert "Bob" Shake - Chair

Mr. Shake was born in the old Providence Hospital on L Street and raised in Anchorage.  He has 28 years of commercial banking experience.   He has held leadership positions in various community service and professional organizations in Anchorage.  He is married and has three children who were all born at Providence Alaska Medical Center.  Mr. Shake states that the Providence mission is extremely important to his family and him, and he is honored to serve on the Foundation Board.
David Rand

Mr. Rand has been an Alaska resident for the past 18 years.  He serves on the UAA Development Council, the ASIS (formerly American Society of Industrial Security), and the Alaska Society of Hospital Managers and Engineers. Mr. Rand is married and has two sons.  He and his family have received medical care at Providence Alaska Medical Center on several occasions.  The care was exemplary and he is proud to serve on the Foundation Board.  Mr. Rand serves as Chair of the Donor Relations Committee of the Board.
Maribeth Conway

Ms. Conway represents clients in all types of estate planning matters.  She is a member of the Alaska, Washington and Oregon State Bar Associations, the American and Anchorage Bar Associations, the Anchorage Estate Planning Council, the Anchorage Association of Women Lawyers and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  Ms. Conway is a fourth generation Alaskan who was born at Providence Medical Center.   She is married with one son who was also born at Providence Medical Center.  Her late father, John Conway, served as a member on the Providence Hospital Advisory Council for many years.

Kimberly (Kim) Reitmeier

Ms. Reitmeier is a Sugpiaq Alutiiq of Kodiak Island and a lifelong Alaskan who has lived in Anchorage for 39 years. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage's Business Administration program, a 2005 inductee into the Athena Society, and a recipient of the Chamber of Commerce's Top Forty Under 40 award. Ms. Reitmeier is also an avid supporter of the University of Alaska and the United Way of Alaska. She has worked at Alyeska for six years and prior to that, worked as Director of Alaska Heritage Tours for CIRI Alaska Tourism. Ms. Reitmeier is married and has two children.

Ms. Cash has been a resident of Alaska since 1974.  She is married with two children.  She was named Alaska's Small Business Person of the Year in 2000.  She is also recognized as a BP/YWCA Woman of Achievement, Anchorage Chamber member, ATHENA Society member and recipient of the 2005 ATHENA Award.  Ms. Cash's son was born at Providence.  RIM Design provides interior space planning and design for Providence.
J. B. (Bill) Brackin

Bill has been employed in ExxonMobil’s worldwide operations for over 29 years.  He is responsible for all aspects of external affairs impacting ExxonMobil’s Alaska interests including communications, community outreach and media relations.  He is a member of the State Chamber of Commerce Board and is involved in philanthropic causes across the state.
 
Bill lives in Anchorage with his wife Julianne.
Memry Dahl

Memry Dahl

Memry Dahl is Unangan (Aleut) born and raised in Sand Point, Alaska.  Memry is a former teacher in the Anchorage School District, president of the Aleutians East Borough School District, assembly member of the Aleutians East Borough, city council member for the City of Sand Point, board member for the Cook Inlet Tribal Council parent education committee, member of Kappa Delta Pi, current member of the Alaska Society of Human Resource Managers, as well as a member of the University of Alaska, Anchorage College of Education Advisory Board.  Memry is married to Chris Dahl and has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren.  Memry is a cancer survivor and received her treatment at the Providence Cancer Center.  In her spare time, she enjoys quilting, traveling and spending time with family.

 

Leslie Ellis

Ms. Ellis and her husband Don, an Anchorage attorney, are originally from Massachusetts.  They have lived in Anchorage 30 years and have a very spoiled dog named “Bear”.  Ms. Ellis is a lifelong Red Sox fan, veracious reader and a marginal gardener.  A considerable portion of her personal time is spent on Credit Union 1 related community service and internal “culture” events.  She was named a 1999 YWCA Woman of Achievement and in 2008 was inducted into the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Athena Society.  She most recently received the national “Credit Union Hero” award from CUNA, the national trade association for America’s 8500 credit unions.  As a result of receiving this award, Ms. Ellis is one of four eligible to win the national “Hero of the Year” award for 2009.

James Erickson

Mr. Erickson has worked as a certified public accountant, and spent a substantial portion of his professional career in various executive capacities in the forest products industry. He has lived in Alaska for 25 years, the past six in Anchorage. Mr. Erickson is married with two children. His wife is a registered nurse at Providence Alaska Medical Center and his daughter is a registered nurse at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.

Alice Galvin

Alice has an Ed.D from the Boston University, Human Resources Training, Administration and Policy Studies, a M.Ed. from the University of Alaska and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Botanical Gardens, the American Society for Training and Development, Commonwealth North and the Organizational Development Network.  Alice has lived in Alaska 38 years and is married.  In her spare time she enjoys entertaining friends, spending time at the family cabin in Soldotna, playing piano, reading, gardening and being part of the Anchorage community.

 

Cynthia (Cindy) Gough

Ms. Gough has been a resident of Alaska since  1981.  She is married and has one son and two grandchildren, ages 2 and 10.  Ms. Gough has worked for Providence for 28 years.  She worked as a staff nurse on many units before moving into her leadership role. Ms. Gough enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, snow machining, travel, reading and cooking.  She has been a guest speaker for UAA nursing classes and other community venues, has served on United Way Review panels, is Chair of the Clinical Pastoral Education Advisory Board at PAMC, and is the 2004 recipient of the Leadership Excellence Award and Crystal Glacier Award at PAMC.​
Lily J. Lou, MD

Neonatologist & Medical Director of the Providence Newborn Intensive Care Unit

 

Dr. Lou has practiced neonatology in the Providence NICU for the past 7 years.  She is Vice President of the Alaska Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. Lou serves on the board of March of Dimes-Alaska and chairs the AAP-District VIII Section on Perinatal Medicine.  She is also a faculty member of the WWAMI Medical School. It is a privilege to serve the people of Alaska in the functional academic and referral center for medicine in this great state!

Greg Pearce

Greg Pearce

Greg Pearce has resided in Anchorage since 1985 and came to Alaska with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, after graduating from West Point.  He departed the Army in 1990 and went to work for GCI at that time.  Greg is a private pilot, has raced in the Iron Dog and enjoys fishing, hunting and golfing.  He is currently serving as the Vice Chairman of the Anchorage Economic Development Council and serves on the Municipal Airports Aviation Advisory Commission for Anchorage.  He has one son and they enjoy many Alaska activities together.

Glenn Peterson

Mr. Peterson has been a resident of Alaska for the past 35 years.  He serves on the UAA Endowment Committee and as a board member on the Salvation Army Rehab Center. Mr. Peterson has had the opportunity to see first hand the impact Providence Medical Center has on Alaska.  He recently lost a close friend to cancer who was treated in the Providence Alaska Cancer Center.  The care and compassion of everyone was truly a testament to the Providence mission statement.

Paul A. Peterson

Dr. Peterson has been an Alaska resident for the past 18 years.  He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.  Dr. Peterson is married and has 3 children.  He has practiced cardiology at Providence since he arrived in Alaska and thoroughly enjoys providing care to Alaskans.

Suzanne Rudolph

A lifelong Alaskan, Ms. Rudolph was born and raised in Palmer and joined Providence in 2001.  Suzanne is a member of the Wasilla Sunrise Rotary, YWCA Board of Directors and The Foraker Group Operations Board.  Suzanne is driven to honor what the courageous Sisters of Providence started in Alaska over 100 years ago, embracing the Providence mission to serve the poor and vulnerable through compassionate service.  She resides in Wasilla with her husband, Shannon, and their son Dakota, a student at Colony High School.  Their daughter, McKenzie, is a student at the University of North Dakota.

 

Jack Sedwick, MD

Dr. Sedwick received his medical degree from the University of Utah in 1997, completed his residency in Otolaryngology Health and Neck Surgery at the University of Florida in 2002 and completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Miami. He was raised in Anchorage and graduated from West High.  His grandfather, Dr. Jack Sedwick, was one of the earlier practicing surgeons at Providence Hospital arriving in Anchorage in 1951.  He is married and has 3 handsome sons.  He enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, skiing, fishing and pretty much anything Alaskan.

Casey Sullivan

Casey Sullivan is a fourth-generation Alaskan and the youngest son of George and Margaret Sullivan.  His mother Margaret served on the Foundation board for 12 years during the late 1980's and 1990's.  Casey is a long time volunteer for the March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center and on the marketing committee for Alaska Resource Education.  Casey lives in Anchorage with his wife Paige Tierney Sullivan and their two daughters Tierney, age 6 and Parker, age 5.​

Joe has a B.S. in Business Management from Park College, MO and was an M.S. candidate for Public Administration studies at the University of Alaska.  He received the US Small Business Administration Minority Small Business Person of the Year, Alaska Region award in 2000.  He was a founding member of the Alaska 8 (A) Association and now serves as an Emeritus member.  He also serves on the Alyeska Pipeline Service Corporation President’s Advisory Council, the Food Bank of Alaska board and The Small Business Administration National Advisory Council.

 

Natasha Von Imhof

Natasha Von Imhof was born and raised in Anchorage and is the daughter of Ed and Cathy Rasmuson.  Natasha is Executive Director of the Atwood Foundation and runs the Mighty Mite Downhill Ski racing program in Girdwood.  She is a board trustee of the Rasmuson Foundation.  Natasha is married to Rudi Von Imhof and has two children.  She enjoys running, hiking and fishing.
