The Children’s Hospital at Providence
Elaina is from Manokotak, Alaska, and travels to Anchorage with her father for treatment. Her family is so grateful to be able to stay in Alaska and receive excellent care at Providence. While at Providence, Elaina enjoys playing with a Child Life Specialist who helps to prepare Elaina for her treatment and distract her from any discomfort – they make it fun! Her father appreciates the kind gestures, like taxi vouchers to help navigate around Anchorage, travel assistance, and comfortable guest housing at Hickel House. Community support enables Providence to continue to provide these and so many wonderful programs and services to all Alaskans.
