Laboratory & Radiology Services
Providence Seward Laboratory offers extensive diagnostic testing services on site performed by experienced, certified Clinical Laboratory Scientists. We honor lab requests from any authorized provider. In-house testing includes:
- A1C for diabetes monitoring
- Kidney function tests
- Liver function tests
- Basic and complete metabolic panels
- Therapeutic drug levels
- PT/INR for coagulation medication monitoring
- Complete blood counts with WBC differentials
All testing is performed on state of the art equipment to deliver you the highest quality, most accurate results possible. Specialized testing is sent to Providence Alaska Medical Center, Pathology Associates Medical Lab, and May Medical Laboratories.
Lab Tests on Demand
Lab Tests on Demand (LTOD) is a program offering your choice of selected wellness lab tests at highly discounted prices. No provider is required nor do you need an appointment. Results, excluding Vitamin D, are normally available for pick-up the same day or may be mailed directly to you. Payment is required up front, and insurance cannot be billed. The following tests are available on the LTOD program:
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
- Lipid Panel
- Complete Blood Count
- Blood Type
- Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
- Hgb A1C
- Fasting Glucose
- Vitamin D
Specialized testing is sent to Providence Alaska Medical Center
via daily morning courier. The lab also conducts legal drug urinalysis collections that are scheduled throughout the week.
The radiology department provides x-ray, mammography, CT scans, ultrasound exams, bone density and including vascular and arterial Doppler.
Through teleradiology, we transmit ﬁlms to Providence Alaska Medical Center
where radiologists interpret the ﬁlms. Requests from outside providers are welcomed.
