The Providence Cancer Research Department has been providing access to prevention and treatment trials for more than a decade. Cancer clinical trials look at ways of enhancing quality of life during treatment, improving survival rates by finding better treatments for cancer and discovering new ways to prevent cancer. The majority of these trials are sponsored by the
National Cancer Institute and are the same studies that can be found at well-known cancer treatment centers throughout the United States. Our Medical and Radiation Oncologists oversee the treatment for these clinical trials that are coordinated by our research staff.
