Alaska's remoteness can make it hard to access medical specialists. In the past, this meant costly travel outside the state, with no guarantee that the specialist and your doctor would work together on follow-up treatment. Today, children with complex health problems receive premier care right here in Alaska.
Many children with special healthcare needs can find excellent care using the local network of providers. For conditions that services are not available, the staff works cooperatively with
Seattle Children's Hospital to bring specialists to our Alaskan families. Families who need to be seen by the Seattle specialists can schedule appointments for evaluation, assessments, and treatment recommendations through the Pediatric Sub-Specialty Clinic.
The Children’s Hospital at Providence is proud to offer you a growing number of sub-specialty outpatient clinics. At the Children’s Hospital at Providence, we realize the need and importance of receiving quality sub-specialty pediatric healthcare for your child close to home.
