Bruce Lamoureux

Senior Vice President/Chief Executive Officer
 
As chief executive, Bruce Lamoureux is responsible for overall operations of Providence’s Alaska Region. Lamoureux has been with Providence Health & Services Alaska since 2006, when he assumed the role of chief executive for Providence Alaska Medical Center. During that time, he led the medical center through growth and change, including the opening of a new cancer center and the establishment of a neuroscience center and telestroke program.
 
Originally from Quebec, Canada, Lamoureux relocated to Los Angeles as a teenager. He joined Providence in 2006 after serving as president and chief executive officer at a tertiary hospital in Los Angeles since 1997. He has more than 30 years experience in hospital operating activities.
 
Lamoureux holds a BA in management from the University of Redlands, in Redlands, California, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
Anthony Dorsch

Anthony has served as assistant CFO since June 2007 with responsibility for region finance. Prior to his current position, Anthony worked in the Providence Health & Services System Office in positions of increasing responsibility, including as system director of financial planning and system manager of strategic finance.
 
Anthony has an MBA and MHA from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. He and his wife, Heather Aften, live in Anchorage with their two children, Hance and Lily.

Scott Jungwirth has been with Providence Health & Services Alaska since 1995. Prior to his appointment as the chief human resources officer in 2007, he served in a variety of roles within the Human Resources Department, including director of human resources for Providence Alaska Medical Center and regional manager for employee and labor relations.
 
As the chief human resources officer for the Alaska Region, Scott is responsible for the strategic direction of the human resources department, employee health and education functions for all Providence facilities in Alaska, sourcing and recruitment, labor relations, and compensation and benefits for Alaska Region employees.
 
Scott holds a master’s degree in business and organizational management from the University of La Verne and a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public communications from the University of Alaska.
Monica Anderson

Monica Anderson
Chief Mission Integration Officer

 

Monica Anderson, Chief Mission Integration Officer for Providence Health & Services Alaska, is responsible for the organization's spiritual care, ethics, community services and community benefits. In her role she promotes our Mission and Core Values -- their understanding, meaning and operationalization -- in each of the Providence facilities in Alaska.

 

Anderson began serving at Providence in 1992. Prior to her current position she worked as Director of Mission/Spiritual Care for Providence Alaska Medical Center, and as Director of Spiritual Care for Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Ore. She also held a position as chaplain for Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene, Ore.

 

The child of a military family, Anderson grew up in a variety of Navy bases on the East and West coasts. She holds a BA in Theology from Loyola College in Baltimore, Md., and an MA in counseling through West Virginia Graduate Studies. She is a board-certified professional chaplain with more than 2000 hours of clinical pastoral education.

Susan Humphrey-Barnett

Area Operations Administrator

 

Susan Humphrey-Barnett is the Area Operations Administrator for the Providence Health & Services Alaska. In that capacity she oversees a wide range of Providence facilities and programs across the state. These include: Kodiak Medical Center, Long-Term Care, Home Health and Counseling Center; Seward Medical Center, Long-Term Care and Home Health; Valdez Medical Center, Long-Term Care and Counseling Center; Matanuska Healthcare Associates Family Practice Clinic; Providence Extended Care Center; Horizon House; PAMC Home Health; PAMC Mental Health Unit; PAMC Psych ER; PAMC Breakthrough; Providence Alaska Residential Treatment Program; Providence Behavioral Medical Group; Providence Imaging Center; and the Crisis Recovery Center.

 

Humphrey-Barnett began service at Providence in 1991. She joined Providence from the State of Alaska, where she served as Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Corrections. Before being named to her current position she served PAMC as Director Of Mental Health Services; Assistant Administrator for Mental Health Services; and Assistant Administrator for Managed Health and Physician Integration.

Dr. Richard Mandsager

Chief Executive, Providence Alaska Medical Center

 

Dr. Richard Mandsager is Providence Alaska Medical Center's senior executive, overseeing all medical center services at the 364-bed hospital. Prior to his appointment as chief executive, Dr. Mandsager served as the executive director of The Children’s Hospital at Providence, the state’s only dedicated children’s hospital.

 

A pediatrician by training, Dr. Mandsager served as the director of the Division of Public Health for the State of Alaska from 2004 to 2006. He has worked in various managerial and clinical positions at Southcentral Foundation and Alaska Native Medical Center, including serving as the medical center administrator.

 

Dr. Mandsager received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College Of Medicine and completed his residency in pediatrics at the LAC-USC College of Medicine in Los Angeles. An Anchorage resident since 1985, Dick has volunteered with many local organizations, including the Boy Scouts, Lutheran Social Services and the Municipality of Anchorage Health & Human Services Committee.

 

Dr. Mandsager and his wife, Ruth, are the parents of three grown children.

Roy Davis

Chief Medical Officer

 

Dr. Roy Davis is Providence Alaska Medical Center's chief medical officer, Roy oversees all medical operations at the hospital.

 

Born in Walsall, England, Davis received his MD and a Ph.D. in clinical chemistry from the Virginia School of Medicine. He also holds an MS in clinical pathology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an MHA from the University of Colorado.

Deborah Hansen

Deborah Hansen
Chief Nurse Executive

As chief nurse executive, Deborah Hansen is responsible for all nursing practice at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Hansen joined PAMC in 2008 as director of Performance Improvement & Accreditation.
 
Prior to joining Providence, Hansen served for nearly 20 years with Alaska Native Medical Center in both staff and management roles, including seven years as director of the maternal child health program. Her professional experience has included clinical practice in maternal child health, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, adult critical care, and orthopedics.
 
Hansen earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Duke University in North Carolina. She received a master of science in nursing with an emphasis in health care administration from University of Alaska Anchorage. Hansen is also a board certified nurse executive.
