Mental illness can make you feel disoriented, confused, anxious or just numb. And sometimes, your feelings can just be too much to bear. Each person experiences mental illness differently, but in times of crisis, you need help right away.

That’s what we do at Providence Crisis Recovery Center. We’re here for you or your loved one 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We help between 400 and 450 patients each year, which gives us the expertise needed to help people who are experiencing a crisis. When our patients actively participate in our program, their ability to cope with stressful life events improve and they have less anxiety and depression.

Our patients typically stay with us for three to seven days, depending on the treatment goals you establish with your therapist. Please bring at least seven days worth of your prescription medications and any personal care items you may need.

Our team helps adults age 18 and older get through a mental health crisis. You or your loved one will have 24-hour access to personalized support with mental health specialists, therapists and registered nurses who are specially trained to help psychiatric patients. These compassionate experts use effective strategies such as:

  • Crisis intervention and stabilization that is customized to you or your loved one’s individual condition
  • Careful use of specific medications
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Referrals to mental health resources in your community
  • Training and education skills to help you or your loved one cope with mental health issues or crisis

The Providence Crisis Recovery Adolescent Program serves people ages 12 to 18 who are having a mental health crisis. Our care helps patients and their families work through the crisis and provide tools to cope in the future. Each of our mental health specialists, therapists, registered nurses and our psychiatrists are committed to providing the best possible care to our patients.

Our co-ed program helps about 100 adolescents each year. The care we provide is personalized, serving only eight patients at our facility at a time. Patients and their families meet with a therapist to create an individualized treatment plan. This plan includes a strict schedule of therapy and activities that help our patients learn and practice healthy coping skills.

  • Our adolescent patients should bring:
  • Enough clothing to last at least one week
  • Proper footwear for outdoor activities
  • School books and school supplies.

We accept all forms of insurance, and Medicaid covers the full cost of your stay. However, most private insurance providers do not cover the full amount. We offer financial aid to cover your stay with us, and no one will be turned away because they are unable to pay.
