Providence Spiritual Care Services

Our Approach

chapelThe chaplains at Providence Alaska Medical Center are here 24 hours a day to serve the emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families. You do not need to have certain religious beliefs to visit our chapel or to ask one of our chaplains to visit your hospital room. We are simply here to listen, offer encouragement and support no matter your religious, cultural or spiritual beliefs.

Whether you want someone to pray for you or simply want a quiet place to meditate, we provide a range of services to meet all your spiritual, emotional and social needs. We’re happy to even just sit with you and talk about the meaning and purpose of life.

You’re welcome to visit Our Lady of Providence Chapel at any time or ask your nurse to page us at 88-4673 (HOPE). Family members, friends of patients and Providence staff are also welcome to reach out to us for support and comfort whenever needed.
