Here at Providence Seward Medical & Care Center, our Radiology Services Department uses state-of-the-art equipment to produce high-quality images. You can count on us to use the safest imaging methods and to have your results quickly, so your care can begin when you need it.

Providence Seward Medical & Care Center Radiology services include Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-Ray, and Portable Digital X-Ray. Our imaging staff will be there to greet you and help with all your imaging needs whether through an outpatient visit or through the PSMCC Emergency Room.
Our 32-slice low-dose CT scanner allows for more exams on more patients and is much faster than our previous CT scan technology. The quality and clarity it provides excellent imaging for complete diagnosis. The CT exams performed in Seward include Angiograms, head, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, lung screening, soft tissue neck, sinuses, chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities. Calcium scoring is also available.
We have experienced professional technologists and equipment for producing superior images for both patients and physicians. It is also capable of providing the community of Seward with many sought after capabilities. Ultrasounds performed at PSMCC include Upper and Lower Extremity Vascular exams, Carotids, Abdomens, Thyroids, Pelvis, OB/GYN’s including 3D/ 4D, Testicles, and other Small Parts exams.
This equipment allows our staff to provide low-dose imaging for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. We have a portable X-ray machine that allows us to bring our equipment to the patient when necessary. Digital images are recorded on an imaging plate, sent to the Radiologist for diagnosis and immediate results.
Providence Imaging Center in Anchorage sends their Mammography Coach to Seward to do screening mammograms periodically. The mobile mammography coach provides the Seward community with digital tomography mammograms, which produce a clear image in little time and are considered to be the new standard of care. Screening results will be turned around in approximately 24 hours.
The Radiology staff is trained and can perform your outpatient EKG’s. No need to travel out of town for a pre-op EKG or Chest X-ray exam.
If you need your images directly after your imaging test, we now have the cutting-edge technology to privately email the images to your doctor or to your own personal email. Just sign a Release of Information for your medical records and our staff can get your images to you. Once you receive your images in your email, you can forward them to your physician, or multiple physicians, if needed. This technology is called AMBRA.
