The Children's Hospital at Providence, Kohl's Cares provide free immunizations for children

January 30, 2018

Free clinics are the first Saturday of each month throughout 2018

ANCHORAGE, Alaska –  Thanks to the generous support of Kohl’s Cares, The Children’s Hospital at Providence will host a free immunization clinic for children the first Saturday of each month throughout 2018. The next free clinic is 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Children are eligible for the free immunization program if they are younger than 19 and one of the following: Medicaid eligible; uninsured or underinsured (vaccines not paid for by insurance); and American Indian or Alaska Native. No appointment is necessary; this is a free walk-in clinic.

This partnership highlights a shared commitment between Kohl’s Cares and The Children’s Hospital at Providence to ensure Alaska’s children have access to affordable vaccines.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, vaccination is one of the best ways parents can protect infants, children and teens from 16 potentially harmful diseases. Vaccine-preventable diseases can be very serious, may require hospitalization or even be deadly – especially in infants and young children.
