Improving cancer care through access to clinical trials
Cancer clinical trials investigate ways of enhancing quality of life during treatment, improving survival rates by finding better treatments for cancer and discovering new ways to prevent cancer.
The Providence Cancer Research Department has been offering community participation in cancer clinical trials since 1993 and has a variety of clinical trials available for a wide range of cancers. These trials are coordinated by our certified nurses and research staff and are overseen by experienced research medical and radiation oncologists. The majority of our trials are sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and are the same studies that may be found at other well-known cancer treatment centers throughout the United States. For more information or to see if a clinical trial is right for you or a loved one, please call our office.
