2018 Free Prostate Cancer Screening Event
September 18, 19, 20 | 5-8 p.m.
About one man in nine will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the U.S. Early diagnosis is the best chance for a cure, and regular screenings are vital to detect cancer in its earliest stage.
- Men with an average risk should get screened starting at age 55 and through age 80.
- For men with higher risk – African-Americans, Hispanics or those with a family history – screening should begin at age 40.
The free screenings during this event are done by appointment and space is limited.
